ITV2 has commissioned CelebAbility, a brand new 6 x 45 physical comedy entertainment show from Potato, makers of Ninja Warrior and The Chase from an original idea devised by Mor or Les Productions.
Hosted by comedian Iain Stirling, this new entertainment show will feature a group of 5 friends who will go head to head with 5 celebrities in a series of hilarious rounds. All rounds are based on the unusual skill or ability that the celebrities believe they naturally possess.
All the games build up to a final prize winning game in which the remaining friends must answer questions about the remaining celebrities. Fewer celebrities mean fewer possible answers so the greater the chance of winning and the more questions answered correctly means the greater the cash prize!
“I’m absolutely buzzing to start the show and find out how truly talented our British celebrities are. Are celebrities fundamentally better than members of the public? It’s about time someone found out!” says host Iain Stirling.
Paul Mortimer, Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions said “CelebAbility is a welcome addition to ITV2’s slate of entertainment programming for its younger audience. Potato has a great track record of producing fun and fast paced programmes and CelebAbility looks to be no exception.”
Phil Mount, Creative Director at Potato says “CelebAbility is an exciting new addition to Potato’s entertainment stable. And another welcome opportunity to increase our portfolio with ITV2. Stand by for our hilarious take on celebrities pitting their ‘hidden talents’ against challengers.”
Saskia Schuster, ITV’s Comedy Commissioner says; “CelebAbility is the game show for anyone with an unusual party trick and a competitive nature. Comedian Iain Stirling will host the showdown between panellists and celebrities, for some seriously silly fun.”
CelebAbility is a Potato production from an original idea devised by Mor or Les Productions. Executive Producers are Phil Mount and Michael Kelpie, Series Producer is Aaron Morgan and Ollie Bartlett will be Director.
